Odell Beckham Jr.'s cousin put up scary pro day numbers

Nearly two months ago, Odell Beckham Jr.'s cousin, Terron Beckham, gained some attention as a physical freak. He was touted as having crazy leaping ability and incredible strength as he declared his intent to make it in the NFL as a running back.

Beckham didn't play college football, which is why he wasn't invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. He missed out on the opportunity due to financial concerns, as he planned to play at a Division III, according to NOLA.com. To showcase his physical ability, though, Beckham held a pro day of his own on Thursday, and he put up some unworldly numbers.

On the bench press, Beckham put up 36 reps of 225 pounds, which would have tied the combine record for a running back.

His vertical jump of 44 1/2 inches was even more impressive, and would have broken the record for a running back and come just a half-inch short of tying the overall record.

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds, which for a running back is very impressive, especially given his 5-foot-11, 230-pound build. That time would have tied Ezekiel Elliott for the fifth-fastest at the combine this year.

There's no question Beckham has the physical tools to make it in the NFL and a team should be able to find somewhere for him to play, but playing football at the highest level is no easy task -- especially having not played since high school.

It will be interesting to see if someone takes a flier on him later this month at the draft. Several scouts were on hand for his pro day, so there is certainly interest there.
