Odell Beckham Jr. tears up Week 5, tweaks his hamstring late
After being bottled up for 38 yards in Week 4, Beckham turned seven catches into 121 yards and a touchdown in the Giants' Week 5 30-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers. All anyone wants to talk about today is the status of his hamstring that he tweaked in the fourth quarter.
After scoring a 17-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter, Beckham limped off to the sidelines grasping his hamstring. The trainers worked on him, and Beckham ended up missing the entire next drive. Halfway through the Giants' final drive, Beckham returned to the field and drew a crucial pass interference penalty to set the Giants up for the game-winning 12-yard touchdown pass to Larry Donnell.
Because Beckham was immediately looked at by trainers after his touchdown celebration dance, some people assumed it was Beckham's decision to pay homage to Victor Cruz's salsa that led to the injury.
FOX Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo cleared up some confusion on when Beckham was actually injured.
Before the injury, Beckham was locked in on the night. He didn't show off any highlight reel catches, but what he did show off was his ridiculous burst and explosion after the catch. This combination of lateral agility and explosion is one of the many traits that makes Beckham one of the NFL's best young receivers.
Beckham will undergo treatment on the hamstring and the Giants hope to get him back for their Week 6 Monday Night game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The first rule of defending the @Giants is: Never let Odell Beckham Jr. get open. He got open. Uh oh. #SFvsNYG http://t.co/5lmMG2RbYP

So many moves. So much speed. OBJ with an OBJ-like 31-yarder. #SFvsNYG http://t.co/GLf7CEKvOE

Rule of Thumb: When in trouble, find Odell. He'll take it to the house and...that dance... #SFvsNYG http://t.co/5zzCRCdmx4
