Patrick Peterson Hauls in One-Handed Interception (Video)

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson is the most athletic cover corner in the NFL and added another jaw-dropping interception to his credit

Sammy Watkins is out in Week 3, so Arizona Cardinals elite cornerback Patrick Peterson doesn’t have to worry about him. As such, the Buffalo Bills have had a difficult day throwing the football, with quarterback Tyrod Taylor averaging just 4.2 yards per pass attempt. Robert Woods has done a nice job of moving the chains. Other than that, though, the Bills haven’t made big plays in the passing game.

Even so, the Cardinals found themselves down 10-0 on Sunday as LeSean McCoy wasn’t having much trouble running the football.

Fortunes can change, however. And Peterson is doing his best to make sure the Cardinals retake the lead in this one.

Aside from the fact that I have no idea what Taylor, who is normally accurate with his deep passes, is trying to do here, this is an incredible pick from an incredible football player.

Just last week, we saw Peterson pick off superstar wideout Mike Evans by running the route Evans was running. Peterson knows how to use his size and ball skills to beat wide receivers to the ball one-on-one, and it sometimes seems like he is the receiver.

It certainly appeared that way on this interception, because Peterson’s one-handed grab was reminiscent of something from Randy Moss’s career highlight reel.

I mean, it seriously looks like Taylor is launching this pass to Peterson down the right sideline. If you put the corner in a Bills jersey, this play would have seemed more commonplace. We’ll take the ridiculous pick, though, without a doubt.
