Patriots Add Jamie Collins to Injury Report Thursday
The Patriots added linebacker Jamie Collins was added to the team’s injury report after Thursday’s practice with a hip issue.
A key cog in the New England front seven, Collins was listed as limited in practice today.
It’s yet unclear whether or not Collins finished practice after suffering the hip injury. More information about the injury and his status for Sunday’s home contest against the Bengals will be available on Friday.
Collins is putting in another strong campaign in his contract year. So far in 2016, he has one sack, two interceptions, and 32 total tackles. If neither Collins can’t go against Cincinnati, it’ll put an even bigger dent in the linebacking core that is still missing Jonathan Freeny and has Dont’a Hightower still easing back into the swing of things after missing time earlier this year with a knee injury.
Other Notable News from Thursday’s Practice
Guard Shaq Mason returned to practice after missing Wednesday for non-injury reasons.
Other limited participants were:
Running back Brandon Bolden (knee), linebacker Jonathan Freeny (shoulder) and tight end Greg Scruggs (knee) did not participate at all in practice on Thursday.
The Patriots will issue their final injury report for the week after practice on Friday.
