Percy Harvin arrives at Jets' park as reports emerge of him 'body slamming' Golden Tate

New York Jets wide receiver Percy Harvin made his arrival at the team facility in Florham Park, N.J. Saturday afternoon.

The team's Twitter account posted pictures of Harvin taking a tour inside the locker room just hours after being shipped from the Seattle Seahawks for conditional pick.  

In the hours after the trade rocked the football world Friday, reports surfaced surrounding the wide receiver's contentious locker room conduct.

Things reportedly got ugly in February during the Seahawks' Super Bowl week when Harvin was said to have gotten into a fight with wide receiver Golden Tate, Lance Zierlein of 790 Sports reported late Friday. Multiple outlets have since confirmed the report, which reportedly resulted in Tate getting a black eye.

In the week leading up to the Seahawks' final preseason game this year against the Oakland Raiders, Harvin got into an altercation with wide receiver Doug Baldwin, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reported. The fight led to Baldwin getting a cut on his chin and each player being excused from practices that week. Harvin never made the trip to Oakland for what the team said was "a personal matter," according to the report.

Zierlein also reported Harvin nearly got into a fight with quarterback Russell Wilson this season. But the last straw, according to Condotta, came in last week's 30-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, when Harvin "apparently balked at going back in the game in the fourth quarter."

An NFL source described Harvin as a "time bomb" to both media outlets.

"Although this was an extremely difficult decision, we are constantly evaluating our team and believe at this time, that this is in our best interest to move the team forward," Seahawks general manager John Schneider said in a team released statement. "We thank Percy for his efforts that contributed to a Super Bowl XLVIII victory and wish him well."

Before the trade had been reported by NFL on FOX insider Jay Glazer, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll noted on Friday a larger role for Harvin. A lingering thigh injury had kept Harvin questionable in the Seattle's game against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

With an injury-riddled career, reports of troubles in the locker room and a hefty $12 million salary, it has come more into focus on why the Seahawks made the move.

Harvin will make his debut with the Jets when they host the Buffalo Bills in Week 8.
