Peyton Manning walks out of tunnel with Super Bowl 50 trophy (Video)

Former Denver Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning emerged from the tunnel before Thursday’s game with the Super Bowl 50 trophy.

The Denver Broncos were preparing to celebrate their third Super Bowl in franchise history on Thursday night as they hosted the Carolina Panthers.

Not everyone knew just how the Super Bowl 50 trophy would be presented and that was put to rest as a familiar face emerged from the tunnel.

The three Lombardi Trophies were presented in order. First, it was former running back great Terrell Davis who brought out the 1997 trophy. Next, it was Broncos’ owner and former quarterback legend John Elway with the 1998 crown.

Who brought out last year’s trophy? While Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller was shown on the big screen as the potential trophy-bearer, it was Peyton Manning who emerged from the tunnel.

Manning had a heck of an ending to his career, walking off into the sunset with a Super Bowl trophy raised above his head and a new piece of jewelry to add to his hand — to go along with his Colts’ Super Bowl ring.

The veteran quarterback didn’t exactly impress in his final season as it was clear his arm was jello compared to the years prior. He passed for just 2,249 yards, nine touchdowns and 17 interceptions.

In the postseason, he fared just a tad better, passing for 539 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. While his final regular season was a forgettable one, he won’t be remembered for how he regressed, but rather how he led the Broncos to their first Super Bowl win since 1998.

Fans loved his appearance as they were all on their feet, cheering on the quarterback legend.

Manning now has time to make all the cheesy, hilarious commercials he wants with nothing better to do on Sundays.
