Sidney Jones

CB, Washington

Jones, a six-foot junior out of Washington, has three interceptions and six pass deflections this season.

The Eagles could still look at someone such as Logan Ryan, who could be a free agent casualty out of New England. A group consisting of Jones, Nolan Carroll, Jalen Mills, and Ryan would be a great upgrade over the current group.

Nick Chubb

RB, Georgia

Again, the wide receiver position will be addressed this year, but the value won’t be there in the second round. Nick Chubb was on his way to a Heisman before suffering a knee injury that nearly ended his career. Since returning this year, Chubb has looked like his old self. He averaged 82 rushing yards per game, which amounts to just short of the 1,000 yard mark. While splitting carries with Todd Gurley and Sony Michel, Chubb has proven to be an effective power rusher. With Ryan Mathews’ long-term health in the wind and Darren Sproles another year older, it’s time to find the long-term solution at running back. Wendell Smallwood and Chubb will be a great 1-2 punch that can each provide a change of pace going forward.Next: Third Round

Curtis Samuel

WR, Ohio State

Wide receivers are finally looked at, and this pick goes with Buckeye’s wide receiver Curtis Samuel. After two seasons of limited action behind Michael Thomas and Braxton Miller, Samuel has become J.T. Barrett’s favorite target this season. He scored a career-high eight touchdowns as a receiver, and had seven more running the ball. This is a great value pick by the Eagles, and is one of many new faces that will be seen in the wide receiver room.Next: Fourth Round Pt. 1

Dede Westbrook

WR, Oklahoma

The Eagles first pick in the fourth round also addresses the wide receiver position, and this one is the down field threat they need. Since Chip Kelly cut DeSean Jackson, the Eagles have been looking for someone to take the top off the defense. Oklahoma speedster Dede Westbrook has 15 receiving touchdowns this year, with over 1,300 receiving yards. He’s the franchise’s next DeSean Jackson, and replaces Josh Huff and Bryce Treggs as the downfield threat. Now, he is on a mission to live up to the Westbrook name in Philadelphia.Next: Fourth Round Pt. 2

Dion Dawkins

OT, Temple

Drafting a prospect in your own backyard is important. The Eagles neglected Temple football while they were rebuilding, but Matt Rhule has done a phenomenal job with this program. Dion Dawkins will develop as the back-up right tackle next season. Jason Peters looks to be ready to play another season, and Lane Johnson will return, if not suspended again. Rookie “Big V” has shown some incredible growth this year and could be the right tackle of the future, but Dawkins is a nice insurance pick-up. With Dennis Kelly gone, Dawkins becomes the next-man up in 2017 and beyond playing on the same field he dominated on in college.Next: Fifth Round

Oct 31, 2015; Fort Collins, CO, USA; San Diego State Aztecs defensive back Damontae Kazee (23) calls out towards the student section of the Colorado State Rams in the fourth quarter at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. The Aztecs defeated the Rams 41-17. Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Damontae Kazee

CB, San Diego State

Damontae Kazee is an aggressive cornerback who will help fill out the depth chart for Philadelphia. He makes the majority of the tackles needed, and reads the play exceptionally well in front of him. Last season he had eight interceptions for San Diego State, and has the ball skills to make the jump to the NFL. He plays with immense quickness, and is always around the ball. Philadelphia and the fans will love his energy on the field with Jones, Mills, and Carroll.Next: Sixth Round

Apr 23, 2016; Madison, WI, USA; Wisconsin Badgers linebacker T.J. Watt (42) reacts during the Wisconsin spring football game at Camp Randall Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Mark Hoffman/Milwaukee Journal Sentinel via USA TODAY Network

T.J. Watt

LB, Wisconsin

Whenever you can add a member of the Watt family you’re making a great move. The younger brother of J.J. and Derek, T.J. does a little bit of everything for Wisconsin. He has 9.5 sacks in one of the best conferences in college football, and had a pick-six last weekend. The athleticism exhibited by his brothers has latched onto T.J., and I believe he can move from a 3-4 outside linebacker. Either the WILL or SAM position could potentially be addressed in Philadelphia with Mychael Kendricks not developing. Nigel Bradham has had two run-ins with the law this season, and could face suspension. Getting depth at linebacker is a must this offseason in Philadelphia.Next: Seventh Round

Sep 10, 2016; Tuscaloosa, AL, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson (54) at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Dalvin Tomlinson

DL, Alabama

Defensive linemen at Alabama seem to grow on trees. Dalvin Tomlinson was a five-star recruit that got buried on the Tide depth chart. This year he is able to make a much larger impact, and has seized the opportunity. Besides his three sacks, Tomlinson is very aware and concentrated during each play. In one game he recorded multiple pass deflections, and is always seen with his hands up when the quarterback is attempting a pass. The raw talent is there to be unlocked, and Jim Schwartz could be the man with the key.
