Philadelphia Eagles re-sign linebacker Najee Goode
Najee Good has rejoined the Philadelphia Eagles.
After surprisingly being released during the Philadelphia Eagles‘ last wave of cuts, the team has re-signed veteran linebacker Najee Goode.
The move was made official by the Eagles via Twitter Saturday.

This is a Goode (*chuckles*) move for the Eagles. Philadelphia doesn’t have a ton of depth at linebacker and Goode has proven to be a solid reserve player when needed.

The Eagles signed Stephen Tulloch earlier this summer to help alleviate some of the pressure to find linebacker depth, but Tulloch is mainly effective as a middle linebacker. Goode can play any linebacker position and that versatility is likely one of the reasons he was re-signed by the Eagles.
With the (re)addition of Goode, the Eagles now have six linebackers on their roster. The team also signed Kamu Grugier-Hill off waivers last week.
Still, the Eagles’ linebacker situation isn’t ideal, but the signing of Goode is a step in the right direction.
