QB question lingers for Cowboys going into draft's final day
IRVING, Texas (AP) The quarterback question hangs over the Cowboys on the final day of the NFL draft.
Dallas made a strong push to get another first-round pick and take Paxton Lynch before Denver got the deal done and grabbed the former Memphis quarterback at No. 26.
The Cowboys went with defensive players in the second and third rounds, leaving open the issue of whether owner Jerry Jones will try to find Tony Romo's next backup in the final four rounds Saturday.
Michigan State's Connor Cook is among the top remaining quarterbacks. He played in the last two Cotton Bowls at the home of the Cowboys, including a College Football Playoff semifinal loss to Alabama last season.
The Cowboys have six picks Saturday, two in the fourth round and four in the sixth.
