Raiders make gutsy call for second straight week to score TD against Falcons
The Raiders came away with a Week 1 road victory over the Saints after a gutsy decision from head coach Jack Del Rio paid off, and he was feeling just as lucky in Week 2, albeit on a far less important possession.
Last week in New Orleans, the Raiders could have tied the score at 34 by kicking an extra-point with 47 seconds left. Instead, the decision was made to go for two, and the Raiders were successful.
This week, Del Rio was at it again, but made his gamble while there were still 12 minutes left. Trailing by seven and facing a fourth-and-goal from the Atlanta 2-yard line, the Raiders went for it and were again successful after Derek Carr connected with Michael Crabtree for the touchdown. The extra point was good, and the game was tied at 21.

Kick the FG? NOPE.
The @Raiders go for it. AND SCORE! #RaiderNation #ATLvsOAK https://t.co/pjqcQYD4R9
Unfortunately for the Raiders, the Falcons answered with two consecutive touchdowns and won 35-28. But it doesn't make Del Rio's decision any less impressive.
