Raiders QB Derek Carr has a powerful message for fans in Oakland and Las Vegas
The Raiders are officially moving from Oakland to Las Vegas after 31 of 32 teams approved of the team’s relocation on Monday. While they’ll still play in Oakland for the next two years, it’s a difficult day for fans in the Bay Area.
Quarterback Derek Carr, after news broke of the team’s move, shared a heartfelt message with fans both in Las Vegas and Oakland. He assured the team’s new fan base that the Raiders will “do our best to bring a championship to the entire Raider Nation.”

Carr admits he isn’t exactly sure how to feel about the move, but he’ll have two years to let the news set in. The Raiders will remain in Oakland until at least 2018, but they don’t have a home lined up for 2019 just yet.
The new stadium isn’t expected to be ready until 2020 at the earliest.
