Rams' Aaron Donald Throws Penalty Flag Back At Official

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 12:07 p.m. ET

Los Angeles Rams defense tackle Aaron Donald threw a penalty flag back at an official during the Thursday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Aaron Donald doesn’t care about your penalty flag, and the Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle showed that on Thursday night.

In the fourth quarter of the Rams’ game against the Seattle Seahawks, Donald was flagged for a face mask penalty. While on the ground after the play, the official threw the penalty flag in his direction and Donald sent the flag flying back at the official after nearly catching it in the first place.

It hasn’t been confirmed, but Donald’s flag throw might have gained more yards than Jared Goff did all night.

Donald was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for his effort, which was an additional 15 yards on top of his face mask penalty. So, in short, Donald lost 30 yards for his team on just one play.

The penalty didn’t end up hurting the Rams, though. Linebacker Alec Ogletree proceeded to pick off Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson near the goal line and the Rams got the ball back.

Unfortunately for Los Angeles, the next drive ended without points. What a shock.

Clearly frustrations are boiling over for the Rams and that’s understandable. Los Angeles was once again unable to put a significant amount of points on the board in Week 15.

Despite changing their head coach at the beginning of the week, the Rams are still the same team that stunk it up under former head coach, Jeff Fisher. The Rams lost 24-3.
