Rams P Johnny Hekker made a simple but touching gesture at camp
The college football punting community suffered a huge loss when Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler died in an automobile accident two weekends ago, and one NFL player in the same line of work is making sure they haven’t been forgotten.
Los Angeles Rams punter Johnny Hecker wore Sadler’s No. 3 to training camp Monday and spoke about both players, who passed away while in Wisconsin in late July, during a punting and kicking camp. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was injured while riding in the automobile Sadler was driving.

Hekker usually wears No. 6 and is in the spot Foltz and Sadler aspired to, having made the Pro Bowl in 2013 and 2015.
Mike inspired everyone he met. I am blessed to get to honor a man that touched so many lives. https://t.co/IzhYfj2hE7
