Ravens take Iowa DT Davis in 3rd round of NFL draft
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) The Baltimore Ravens have taken Iowa defensive tackle Carl Davis with the 90th overall pick in the NFL draft.
Davis is a 6-foot-5, 320-pounder. He had 36 tackles and a pair of sacks last year as a senior with the Hawkeyes.
The Ravens were looking for someone to put in the middle of the defensive line after trading Haloti Ngata to Detroit earlier this offseason.
Earlier Friday, Baltimore addressed its lack of depth at tight end by selecting 21-year-old Maxx Williams out of Minnesota in the second round.
Williams caught 36 passes for 569 yards and eight touchdowns in 2014. He is the son of former NFL center Brian Williams, who played with the New York Giants from 1989-99.
Baltimore's top pick was Central Florida wide receiver Breshad Perriman.
