Redskins TE Jordan Reed expected to be ready for training camp
When healthy and on the field, Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is one of the most dynamic players in the game at his position. He combines short-area quickness and lateral agility with the ability to break away from defenders. Unfortunately, staying healthy has not been his forte.
After missing 12 games over the last two seasons, Reed was sidelined during the Redskins' spring practices following a minor knee procedure. According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, he third year tight end is expected to be ready to go by the start of training camp.
The Redskins hope that Reed can join Niles Paul to create a mismatch for defenses in 2015. Through two seasons, Reed has compiled 964 yards receiving and three touchdowns on 95 receptions.
