Reggie Wayne blasts the Colts front office for being a 'big problem'

After four weeks, the Indianapolis Colts are 1-3 and sit in last place in the AFC South. Despite having the best quarterback in the division, the Colts are underperforming yet again – something that’s become all too familiar in the past two years.

Andrew Luck certainly isn’t playing his best football right now, but he hasn’t been bad enough to warrant a 1-3 record. This season, Luck has eight touchdowns and three interceptions, even while having approximately 1.2 seconds to throw on each dropback.

Some are quick to blame him for the team’s struggles, as quarterbacks typically are. But it’s not his fault. Former Colts receiver Reggie Wayne puts it on the front office.

Wayne is absolutely right. The Colts have whiffed on bolstering the offensive line for Luck and their defense has been a mess. They haven’t provided Luck with the weapons necessary to take the team to the next step after reaching the AFC title game two years ago.

Trent Cole has only played two games with the Colts this season after starting just five in 2015 – his first year in Indianapolis. Obviously, his lack of production has to do with age and durability, but he wasn’t pleased to hear Wayne calling him out.

The Colts have several issues, but Luck isn’t one of them. With a lackluster group around him and one of the worst offensive lines in football, he’s doing a pretty darn good job – as Wayne alluded to.
