Report: Bengals' Dennard needs season-ending surgery; Ogbuehi to be activated
Bengals cornerback Darqueze Dennard's first career start didn't go as planned.
First he was beaten for an 18-yard touchdown by Cardinals receiver John Brown, then he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. It's unclear when Dennard suffered the injury but he appeared to be clutching his right shoulder after Brown's touchdown catch. Dennard was starting in place of Adam Jones, who sat out with a foot injury.
The initial report was that Dennard suffered a dislocated shoulder, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport added that there may be a tear as well. Dennard will need surgery regardless, and the Bengals will place him on season-ending injured reserve, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Dennard, who played sparingly last year as a rookie, appeared in all 10 games this season, recording one interception and three passes defensed.
The Bengals are expected to activate first-round pick Cedric Ogbuehi from the non-football injury list to fill out the roster. The rookie offensive tackle, who suffered a torn ACL in his last college game, began practicing with the team two weeks ago.
#Bengals would have needed to make a decision to activate Ogbuehi by next Monday. This was his final week with a roster exemption from NFI.
