Report: Cam Newton sued for allegedly trashing rented mansion in California

A lawsuit has been filed against Panthers quarterback Cam Newton for allegedly causing nearly $100,000 in damages to a mansion he rented in California with parties back in March, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Jared Pobre, the husband of former WWE wrestler Stacy Kiebler, filed the suit. He alleged that Newton agreed not to have any parties at the house, but did so anyway, breaking a refrigerator, causing water damage to the floor and ruining an expensive rug.

Pobre claims the repairs to the house—which Newton rented for $123,000 over 61 days—took two months to complete.

The house was rented shortly after Newton’s Panthers fell to the Broncos, 24–10, in Super Bowl 50.
