Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald plans to retire after this season, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports

The 33-year-old “has told people closed to him that he expects” this will be his last year in the NFL, according to Rapoport.

This will be Fitzgerald’s 13th season in the NFL, all with the Cardinals. He was drafted by Arizona with the third pick in 2004 out of Pittsburgh.

Fitzgerald has been selected to the Pro Bowl nine times, including seven straight appearances from 2007 to 2013. He has seven 1,000 yard seasons, including four years with at least 1,400 receiving yards.

Fitzgerald has also been an exceptionally durable player, having missed only six games in his 12 NFL seasons.
