Report: Manziel ordered to stay away from ex-girlfriend for two years

Things are piling up against Johnny Manziel.

A judge in Tarrant County (Texas) has issued an order of protection, which states that the Cleveland Browns quarterback must stay away from his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley for two years. He also must pay $12,000 in legal fees.

The judge stated that "the court finds there is reason to believe that family violence occurred," according to Rebecca Lopez of WFAA TV in Dallas.

Details of an alleged incident between Manziel and Crowley that took place on Jan. 30 emerged on Thursday evening. Crowley said -- according to a police report -- that Manziel hit her several times and the latter said, "shut up or I'll kill us both." Manziel also allegedly told Crowley that he would "take my car and go kill himself" -- though the police decided not to press charges at the time.

The protective order comes on the same day that Manziel's agent Erik Burkhardt decided to cut ties with him. The Dallas Cowboys, also once considered to be a potential landing spot for Manziel, have also apparently decided not to pursue him.
