Report: Russell Wilson will play Sunday vs. Rams despite high ankle sprain

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is dealing with a high ankle sprain but will play in Seattle’s game against the Rams on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Monday that Wilson had a “significant” injury to his right ankle. He was injured during the third quarter of last week’s win over the Dolphins but remained in the game.

“I was pretty limited, but I was telling coach Carroll and some of the trainers when I'm 43, 44, 45 years old and still playing, that's probably what I'll look like out there,” Wilson told reporters after the game.

Wilson has started every game at quarterback for the Seahawks since being drafted in 2012.

Sunday’s game against the Rams kicks off at 4 p.m. ET and is the first home game in Los Angeles since 1994.
