Report: Titans trying to move back up in draft after blockbuster deal

Published Apr. 17, 2016 6:15 p.m. ET

The Tennessee Titans made a lot of teams adjust their draft boards after trading the No. 1 pick -- along with a fourth- and sixth-round picks -- to the Los Angeles Rams last week, receiving four picks in exchange.

After the dust settled, the Titans now sit at No. 15, but that might not be for long. According to CBS Sports, Tennessee general manager Jon Robinson is trying to get back up in the top 10.

He's moving back up," one executive told the outlet. "He has the ammo to do it and it's heading in that direction."

With the draft less than two weeks away, Robinson can't waste any time working the phones. The Titans have to be focused on getting some protection for Marcus Mariota, who was sacked 38 times despite playing in only 12 games.

According to the report, the Titans might be eyeing either Michigan State tackle Jack Conklin or Notre Dame tackle Ronnie Stanley. But in order to better their chances of landing either, the Titans apparently feel they need to get back in the top-10 range.
