Rex Ryan knows who's to blame for Bills having 10 on field for Jay Ajayi's huge run

Rex Ryan’s fate with the Buffalo Bills might have been sealed Saturday, when the Miami Dolphins rallied for an overtime victory.

The loss was even more deflating because the game-winning field goal was set up by a Jay Ajayi 57-yard run in overtime. It probably greatly helped Ajayi that Buffalo had only 10 men on the field during his breakaway run.

Two days later, Ryan took full responsibility for the miscommunication.

“Should have had 11 on the field,” Ryan said Monday, via Pro Football Talk. “One hundred percent of what happens on the field is my responsibility.”

Ryan might not have that responsibility for long in Buffalo. A year after going 8-8, Ryan will need the Bills to win their season finale against the Jets on Sunday to replicate that mark. It might not be enough to give Ryan a third year.
