RGIII takes to Twitter to muse upon situation with Bible quote

To say that Robert Griffin III is going through some things would be a drastic understatement. From being the anointed starting quarterback of the Washington Redskins to actually finding himself battling for the second-string signal-caller spot on the team, RG3 is watching his career in D.C. going down the drain and his NFL future hanging in the balance.
But to hear — or read — it from Griffin, a man can always rely upon his faith, which is evidently what he’s doing, given he took to Twitter in the wee hours of Wednesday to post a Biblical passage.
The passage RG3 cites has several versions and interpretations, but one reads: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Griffin seems to be ascribing to the belief that this too shall pass and that everything that happens to him has a purpose of some kind. Given that his career is at a crossroads with the possibility he has played his last game with the Redskins, it’s probably a worthwhile philosophy.
And if Griffin’s time with the Redskins is nearing its end, he of course will be pursued by several teams more than eager to give him a shot.
The only question is whether Griffin posted the passage himself or if the task was left to one of his interns, which is what the quarterback used to explain why his official Instagram account liked a post in which Redskins owner Dan Snyder was called a “sorry a** team owner.” Since he’s unlikely going to be too harshly criticized for this post, nor will it cause much controversy, odds are he’ll take responsibility for it if necessary.
