Rodger Saffold Explodes on Rams Fan Who Criticized Him on Twitter

Tensions are clearly hitting a boiling point for Los Angeles Rams players, as offensive lineman Rodger Saffold exploded on one fan.

Rodger Saffold isn’t dealing with your nonsense and one Los Angeles Rams fan found that out firsthand after criticizing him on Sunday night.

A Rams fan was critical of Saffold after the team’s Week 14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, although Saffold didn’t play in the game as he’s dealing with a hand injury.

Still, the fan voiced his displeasure with the veteran with a comment on one of our tweets, to which the Rams offensive lineman responded.

Here’s the original tweet that got it going, followed by the fan’s comment and Saffold’s response:

We decided to point out how that escalated quickly:

The anger directed at Saffold is a direct result of the overall frustrations of a fanbase that is tired of losing. Sure, he’s on the team that has totally gone off a cliff, but he’s far from the biggest problem.

We tried to squeeze an answer out of Saffold about his thoughts on a potential coaching change and here’s what he had to say:

If you read between the lines, it doesn’t appear Saffold is giving Fisher a ringing endorsement by any means.

He did say this in response to another fan’s question:

The veteran lineman has been with the team since 2010, so he knows a thing or two about the losing culture of this franchise that hasn’t had a winning season since 2003.

He’s been a standup Ram and deserves better than what he’s had to deal with during his career. Much respect to Saffold for interacting with the fans, even if it did start off on the wrong foot.

Saffold isn’t the only one who’s frustrated. Running back Todd Gurley not only compared the team’s offense to a middle-school unit, but he also questioned his team’s effort. You can read that story by following the link below.

It’s good to see anger from Saffold and these players. It certainly couldn’t hurt a team that is in a complete freefall.
