Rookie cornerback Eric Patterson released

The New England Patriots continued tinkering with the cornerback position on Tuesday as they released rookie Eric Patterson. Patterson played at Ball State and signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent. With the move, the Patriots are back down to 89 players heading into mandatory OTAs.

The move comes a day after the Patriots added Derek Cox to the cornerback position. With both moves over the past couple of days, the Patriots continue to keep the revolving door going at the position as they have brought in and released numerous players this offseason.
