Russell Wilson's ankle injury is reportedly significant, Week 2 status in question
The Seattle Seahawks eked out a victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in an ugly game against a team that figures to finish last in the AFC East. Russell Wilson helped lift the Seahawks to the 12-10 win in the fourth quarter, and he did so with an ankle injury after being stepped on (unintentionally) by Ndamukong Suh.
Wilson was limping significantly after the injury occurred, but he was able to remain in the game and lead Seattle to victory. Wilson shrugged off his ankle issue after the game, as you’d expect him to.
“I’ll be all right,” he said. “I’ll be ready to roll.’’
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said the Seahawks are “going to look at it,” but the news might not be great. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the injury is worse than Wilson perceived it to be, and he isn’t certain to play Week 2.
#Seahawks QB Russell Wilson shrugged it off, but I'm told his sprained ankle is significant. It puts his availability vs #Rams into question

Rapoport also says the Seahawks are expected to bring in a veteran quarterback regardless of Wilson’s status for Sunday. Trevone Boykin is currently the primary backup, but he’s inexperienced and not ready to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
Fortunately, the Seahawks take on the Rams in Week 2, a team that doesn’t pose much of a threat to Seattle. And if Wilson's recent tweet is any indication of his health, he could very well be on the field.

P.s...
See you in LA. ?
Pete Carroll echoed Wilson's not-so-clear tweet during his press conference on Monday.
“He’s all fine there,” Carroll said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. “A little bit of swelling, but he’ll make it through.”
It sounds like Wilson will be out there next week against the Rams, though Carroll wouldn't say for sure.
