METAIRIE, La. (AP) The New Orleans Saints have selected Fresno State defensive tackle Tyeler Davison with their second of two picks in the fifth round of the NFL draft.

The pick was acquired from Kansas City in a trade that sent former Pro Bowl left guard Ben Grubbs to the Chiefs.

The 6-foot-2, 316-pound Davison was credited with 8 1/2 sacks last season and was named to the All-Mountain West Conference first team.

Davison is the fifth defensive player taken in New Orleans' first seven picks as the Saints try to fortify a defense that ranked second-to-last in yards allowed last season.
