The Seattle Seahawks’ worst fears were confirmed Monday. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that Earl Thomas will miss the rest of the season after suffering a fractured tibia Sunday night against the Panthers.
Thomas was injured when he collided with teammate Kam Chancellor, forcing the Pro Bowl safety to be carried off the field. While being attended to in the locker room, Thomas hinted on Twitter that his career could be in jeopardy.
The 27-year-old safety has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the past five years and is considered one of the best players at his position.
