Seahawks GM: Offensive line a top priority in upcoming draft

Published Apr. 29, 2015 3:23 p.m. ET

The Seattle Seahawks have a roster built to win now, but General Manager John Schneider knows if they want to get back to the Super Bowl for a third consecutive season they will need to address the offensive line.

The Seahawks lost their starting center Max Unger in the Jimmy Graham trade. They also lost G James Carpenter who signed with the New York Jets.

Schneider told CBS Seattle he will do whatever is necessary to address the offensive line situation.

“I think I’d be lying to you if I told you any different. But saying that, that doesn’t mean that we need to go hog wild doing something, either,” Schneider said. “We are going to continue (to) address it as we go. It could be the draft. It could be a cap casualty in the summer. It could be someone who was just waived, it could be a trade yet. We’ll never stop evaluating every position.”

Schneider will continue to evaluate not just the offensive line, but all positions in order to make the team better.

“We are always trying to evaluate how we are doing, and fix as much as we possibly can and add as much as we possibly can to this team, and do what is right by this organization,” Schneider said.
