Seattle's Lynch to seek another opinion on abdominal issue
SEATTLE (AP) Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will seek another opinion on his abdominal injury that kept him out Sunday against San Francisco.
Seattle coach Pete Carroll said that Lynch was traveling to Philadelphia on Monday to meet with Dr. William Meyers on Monday in Philadelphia to try and get an exact determination of his abdominal injury. Meyers performed groin and sports hernia surgery in the past on Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson.
Carroll said Lynch was scheduled to visit with Meyers prior to being inactive on Sunday. Carroll expected Lynch to be able to play against the 49ers as late as Friday and said the team hoped to have a better idea of Lynch's long-term prognosis by midweek.
Carroll said nothing has been ruled out for Lynch.
''This will be a really important couple of days for him,'' Carroll said.
