Secondary issue: Breeland back from ban to replace suspended Culliver

The Washington Redskins have a revolving door at cornerback, with one player returning from suspension while another prepares to serve a one-game ban.

Bashaud Breeland is expected to get the start Sunday against the St. Louis Rams in place of Chris Culliver, who received a one-game suspension Tuesday for violating the league's personal misconduct policy.

Breeland was forced to sit out the season opener following his own one-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy during last year's training camp.

It promises to be an intensive week for Breeland, who started 15 games last seasons as a rookie but was limited to one preseason contest after suffering a sprained MCL in his left knee early in training camp.

The Redskins also signed journeyman cornerback Will Blackmon on Tuesday after placing starting strong safety Duke Ihenacho on season-ending injured reserve with a fractured wristed sustained in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins.
