ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) Trevor Siemian's season is over after the Broncos' starting quarterback injured his left shoulder in Denver's 25-13 win at Indianapolis, coach Vance Joseph said Friday.

Joseph also hinted that Paxton Lynch and not Brock Osweiler would start next week at Washington.

Osweiler was superb in relief of Siemian, throwing for 194 yards and two TDs and rushing for an 18-yard score in sparking the Broncos (5-9) to their second win in five days, one that snapped an eight-game road losing streak.

Joseph said Lynch should be cleared to return from a sprained left ankle this weekend and on Monday the coaching staff will huddle to determine who's the quarterback.

Joseph said the Broncos would like to see more snaps from Lynch, who's been a major disappointment after general manager John Elway moved up in the 2016 NFL draft to pick him in the first round.
