St. Louis Rams teammates pay visit to recuperating Stedman Bailey

One of the few benefits of Thursday night games for NFL players is the weekend time off, and the St. Louis Rams made the most of theirs Saturday.

Coming off a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, several Rams players traveled to a Miami-area hospital to pay a visit to teammate Stedman Bailey, who has been hospitalized since being shot twice in the head on Nov. 24.

The team posted on its official Twitter account the following photo, which was first posted to Instagram by cornerback Trumaine Johnson:

The players in the picture are wide receiver Tavon Austin, Johnson, defensive tackle Michael Brockers, running back Todd Gurley, defensive end Eugene Sims, linebacker Mark Barron, running back Benny Cunningham and safety Rodney McLeod. ESPN reported that, according to Austin, he and his teammates planned the trip earlier this week. Austin and Bailey played together as receivers at West Virginia prior to being drafted by the Rams in 2013.

Bailey, who reportedly had spoken with the team via FaceTime prior to Thursday night's game, responded with his own tweet to express his gratitude for the visit.
