SUN VALLEY, Idaho (AP) Teenager AJ Hurt closed out the U.S. Alpine championships by winning the giant slalom for her second title in a week's span.

Hurt finished the two runs in a combined time of 2 minutes, 13.28 seconds on Monday. American teammate Foreste Peterson and Croatia's Andrea Komsic tied for second and were 1.51 seconds behind Hurt's winning time.

The 17-year-old Hurt won the Alpine combined last Wednesday and finished second in the super-G two days later.

Hurt had a big season in which she had six top-three finishes on the NorAm level, including two wins. The ski racer from the Squaw Valley area in California also made her World Cup debut last November in Killington, Vermont.
