Terrell Owens is not pleased with Dak Prescott critics (Video)
There are a lot of Dak Prescott critics out there on Monday, and Terrell Owens has a pretty stern message for them
Sunday night the Dallas Cowboys dropped just their second game of the entire season, suffering yet another loss at the hand of the New York Giants. For as impressive as he has been to this point, the one player who took the brunt of the loss the most was rookie signal-caller Dak Prescott.
In the loss, Prescott once again didn’t look all that great, finishing with just 165 yards and two interceptions. With that being the case, of course the Tony Romo supporters were out in full force, calling for the rookie sensation to sit on the bench and let the veteran try and lead the Super Bowl run.
A lot of folks felt the backlash towards Prescott was unnecessary, and one of those people is former Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens, a former top target for Romo in Big D. While appearing on SportsNation Monday, Owens went on to call the criticisms of Prescott disrespectful.
Whether or not the Cowboys do eventually turn to Romo remains to be seen, and with the playoffs right around the corner, we’ll know a definitive answer sooner rather than later. Possibly as soon as whatever the outcome is Sunday night when the Cowboys take on another surging team in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
No matter what happens, though, one of the best NFL receivers of all-time certainly has the back of the rookie out of Mississippi State.
