Houston outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney will miss Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a foot injury.

Coach Bill O'Brien said Friday that Clowney would sit out as the Texans try to clinch their first AFC South title and postseason berth since 2012 against the Jaguars.

Clowney was injured in the fourth quarter of Houston's win over Tennessee last week and hasn't practiced all week.

The top overall draft pick in 2014 has been hampered by injuries since he was selected by the Texans. He played just four games last season because of various injuries before having season-ending microfracture surgery in December 2014. He's been on the field much more this season and has appeared in 13 games with nine starts.

Clowney's foot has no structural damage and he should return next week.
