The internet lost its mind over Cowboys QB Dak Prescott's 4-TD performance
Cowboys fans have a lot of reasons to be excited about this season. Ezekiel Elliott is going to be an awesome running back. The offensive line might be the best in the NFL. Tony Romo is healthy.
And most importantly, Dak Prescott is already on his way to becoming a football god. Or so the internet would have you believe after this TD from the rookie QB in the Cowboys' second preseason game of 2016:
Nobody open?

All good.@15_DakP will just run it in himself.#MIAvsDALhttps://t.co/LWANUEMkXw
That rushing TD against the Dolphins followed Prescott connecting with Dez Bryant on a gorgeous strike through the air early in the second quarter:

He finds @DezBryant for another TD! ? #MIAvsDAL #ThrowUpTheX https://t.co/o6aNRKpmuK
It was all too much for Twitter:
After seeing #DakPrescott I'm going out on a limb and saying Johnny Manzel will never play for the #Cowboys

Of course, not everyone was impressed:
Prescott's response to the doubters? Oh, just casually uncorking a 60-yard throw through the air that set up yet another passing TD from the rookie:
Just WOW.

Dak Prescott launches this deep ball almost 65 YARDS in the air! ? ? #MIAvsDAL https://t.co/iHUKgJRb6V
Prescott finished the night 12 of 15 for 199 yards, two TDs and a perfect QB rating — plus two rushing TDs for good measure. Through two preseason games, he's 22 for 27 for 338 yards and four TD passes, with a 154.5 QB rating in the first game against the Rams.
More than the stats, though, Prescott has played with a striking amount of poise. He stayed in the pocket as long as possible, making quick (and accurate) reads across the field. He didn't stare down his receivers, and he didn't try to force any throws. The few times that he couldn't find someone open, he was decisive in either checking down or trying to make something happen with his feet.
At this rate, the Cowboys are going to have a QB controversy before the regular season even begins. (Note: They are not going to have a controversy; this is all an overreaction. But still, Prescott looks really good, you guys.)
