Titans figuring out who's healthy heading into Thursday night

The Tennessee Titans, who put cornerback Jason McCourty and wide receiver Justin Hunter on season-ending injured reserve on Monday, are faced with a number of other banged-up players as the team prepares Thursday's game against Jacksonville.

Titans interim head coach Mike Mularkey said defensive lineman Al Woods suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's 27-10 loss to Carolina and will be out several weeks.

In addition to the loss of McCourty, cornerbacks Perrish Cox and Blidi Wreh-Wilson are dealing with hamstring injuries. Cox was inactive against the Panthers on Sunday, but Mularkey said he's closer to being able to play than Wreh-Wilson.

At wide receiver, Kendall Wright is still dealing with a sprained MCL suffered in Tennessee's Nov. 1 loss to the Houston Texans.  With Wright's status uncertain and Hunter out, the Titans have Harry Douglas, Dorial Green-Beckham and Rico Richardson available.

Mularkey said the team will have to use the team's limited practice time during the short week to determine who is available to play Thursday.

“We have to do some things practice-wise – the tempo has to be almost game speed – so we can figure out who is healthy,’’ Mularkey said, per the team's official website. “Not only in the secondary, but with Kendall and the passing game. Right now, Blidi is limited, and Perrish should practice more than Blidi.”

Also appearing on Monday's injury report were linebacker Derrick Morgan, guard Chance Warmack and defensive lineman Sammie Hill. Morgan has a shoulder injury, Warmack has an ankle injury, while Hill is listed with a knee injury.
