Tom Brady posts a photo imagining his career with the Montreal Expos
Somewhere in a parallel universe, Tom Brady became a catcher for the Montreal Expos and the New England Patriots did not win any Super Bowls between 2001 and the present.
Maybe that provides a fleeting moment of happiness for Expos fans but now they and Patriots fans are feeling uncomfortable. But Brady was wondering what might have been on Thursday as he and/or his Photoshop assistant posted this photo:
Yes, Brady, a three-sport athlete in high school was drafted in the 18th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball draft as a left-handed hitting catcher.
Other future NFL-ers drafted that year include Ricky Williams (8th round by the Phillies), Brady's Patriots teammate Lawyer Milloy (19th round by the Tigers) and Daunte Culpepper (26th round by the Yankees).
It certainly worked out OK for Brady. If he had chosen Door B, right now he'd be a washed up catcher with balky knees and there's no chance he'd be married to Gisele.
