Tony Romo reportedly throws in pregame warmups before Cowboys win
The Dallas Cowboys have stayed afloat without Tony Romo so far, narrowly losing in the season opener then bouncing back against the Redskins on Sunday.
But it looks like Dallas could get its franchise quarterback soon. According to Pro Football Talk, Romo was seen throwing in pregame warmups at Washington. The Pro Bowl QB threw 15 to 20 passes, according to the report.
Romo suffered a compression fracture in his back during the third preseason game. The team is hoping to get him back in the lineup in Week 8, one week after its bye. The Cowboys went 1-11 last year without their star QB but have already matched that win total in 2016.
It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys bring Romo along slowly as Dak Prescott continues to show promise under center. Prescott completed 22 of 30 attempts for 292 yards and engineered the winning drive for Dallas on Sunday.
