Tyreek Hill struck again in the first half for the Kansas City Chiefs, going full buzzsaw on a 78-yard punt return touchdown.

To start the second quarter of Thursday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs rookie Tyreek Hill made an impact. With his team down 3-0, he needed to make a play. He did so by burning the secondary badly with his near unmatched speed on a deep touchdown pass. He wasn’t done making the Raiders pay in Week 14, not just for the night, but just in the second quarter.

Following the Chiefs driving again to go up 14-3 and then the Raiders offense struggling once again, Marquette King came out to punt for Oakland. The enigmatic youngster had a nice effort on the sideline that was stuffed, but it was called back due to a penalty. Things then went awry in a bad way.

King first messed up by kicking to Hill in the middle of the field, which is a mistake all the time. The coverage team, gassed from the previous kick, then couldn’t contain Hill in the slightest. KC’s emerging star busted up the middle of the field through coverage and only King was left. Hill simply cut inside and the punter had no chance of bringing him down. The rookie then finished off the gorgeous 78-yard return touchdown:

That young man’s wheels are so incredibly dangerous. They’ve opened up so many things for the KC offense, but also the defense as well. As for King, well, he probably wasn’t feeling great after the score—but felt even worse after Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce taunted him with his patented “Pony” dance.

More importantly, Hill’s punt return gave the Chiefs a 21-3 lead in a huge game for the AFC West. However, Derek Carr found a rhythm late to bring the score to 21-10 at halftime, setting the stage for yet another Oakland comeback.
