Von Miller credits 'Dancing With the Stars' for making him a better football player
Many looked at linebacker Von Miller's stint on the spring season of "Dancing With the Stars" as a sparkly offseason distraction while the Super Bowl MVP renegotiated his contract with the Denver Broncos.
But Miller credits the consistent work he did with pro dance partner Witney Carson during his stint on the ballroom dancing reality TV series (they made it to Week 5 of the competition) for making him a better football player.
And it shows. Miller is off to an amazing start this NFL season, leading the league with four sacks — three of which came during Denver's 34-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Which is why the Broncos re-signed Miller to a six-year, $114.5 million contract in July, making him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.
