Von Miller will be a no-show at the Broncos' offseason program
The offseason hits just keep on coming for the Denver Broncos. As the team prepares to start offseason workouts Monday, the Broncos won't have Super Bowl MVP Von Miller in attendance.
The star linebacker will be a no-show because of his ongoing contract negotiations and he's still competing on "Dancing With The Stars", according to NFL.com. Since Miller has not signed his franchise tender, he's technically not under contract.
Miller received the exclusive franchise tag tender from Denver worth $14.129 million for 2016. This one-year tender would fall short of what Olivier Vernon ($17 million) and Ndamukong Suh ($19 million) are getting paid annually as part of long-term deals.
Miller has been named to the Pro Bowl four of his first five years in the league and has had double-digit sack totals during those years.
This is just another blow to the defending Super Bowl champs, who lost quarterback Brock Osweiler, defensive end Malik Jackson and linebacker Danny Trevathan this offseason.
