WATCH: Broncos' Chris Harris nearly runs an extra point back

Chris Harris Jr. came this close to giving the NFL its first taste of extra-point drama.

The star Broncos cornerback scooped up a blocked PAT attempt against the Lions on Sunday night -- but was tackled before he cashed the play in for two points.

In previous years, a blocked PAT was blown dead. That's no longer the case; Harris would've been the first NFL player to score a defensive two-point conversion. 

Broncos fans were demoralized -- but the return does prove the NFL's new extra-point rules are effectively spicing the game up.
