Watch Charlie Kimball's awkward baking in IndyCar Christmas video
Charlie Kimball is a great representative for the Verizon IndyCar Series ,and now he’s sharing his Christmas spirit with fans in a hilarious new video.
Charlie Kimball is a fantastic Verizon IndyCar Series driver, but you might not want to let him in your kitchen. At least, not after seeing IndyCar’s brand-new Christmas video featuring Charlie and his wife Kathleen.
In “A Kimball Holiday,” the Chip Ganassi Racing driver invites fans into his home to share in some holiday baking. But it turns out Kathleen is the only one doing the baking — Charlie has other ideas, naturally focused on speed above all else.
This is one of the funniest offseason videos that IndyCar has come up with since its The Office parody “The Offseason,” and it’s no coincidence that Kimball is in both. Not only does he have the perfect earnest delivery to land the jokes, but the best part is watching Kathleen’s reactions. It’s like these two should have their own sitcom.
A close second would be Charlie’s Christmas suit. Who knows where he found it, but that has to be the best holiday outfit ever invented and he wears it surprisingly well.
The icing on the proverbial cake (or should we say cookies?) is that this is Part 1. Hopefully Part 2 involves Charlie’s haphazard attempt at decorating the Christmas tree while Kathleen just calmly does it right on the other side.
Watch “A Kimball Holiday” below and spend a few minutes of your holiday season with Charlie and Kathleen Kimball:
“A Kimball Holiday” is an entertaining way for IndyCar to recognize Christmas, and the second part should be equally fun. It’s just a shame that it hadn’t come out earlier so maybe there could be a whole series of videos with IndyCar drivers failing at holiday baking. Conor Daly would probably burn all the cookies.
