Watch Odell Beckham Jr. propose to the kicking net after scoring game-winning TD
The relationship between Odell Beckham Jr. and the most famous inanimate object in football – the Giants’ kicking net – is a weird one. It all started when Beckham smacked his helmet on the net, which consequently clapped back by hitting Odell in the head.
One week later, after finding the end zone for the first time, Beckham went over and shared a moment with the net, giving it a hug.
Things got substantially stranger on Sunday. Trust me.
Following his first touchdown of the game – a 75-yard score – Beckham went over to the net, laid on the ground and pulled it over him.
But wait, the love affair didn’t end there.
After hauling in a 66-yard touchdown with 1:24 remaining to ultimately win the game, Beckham ran over to the net, got down on one knee, and proposed to the net. This after being flagged 15 yards for removing his helmet. Everyone has their flaws, right?
This is a hard relationship to put into words, but one that won’t be going away any time soon. Beckham finished with eight catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns, as well as a new fiancee.
