Watch: Referees credit Odell Beckham with catch on ball he clearly dropped

Odell Beckham has good hands, but he does actually drop a pass from time to time. The officiating crew in Sunday’s Lions-Giants game doesn’t seem to believe that, though.

On the Giants’ first possession of the game, Eli Manning threw a short pass to Beckham. The ball went through his hands, dropped to the ground, bounced up and landed in between Beckham’s legs. Inexplicably, it was called a completed pass.

Given that it was only a four-yard gain, the Lions elected not to challenge the call.

The Giants scored a touchdown later on the drive, on a six-yard pass to Sterling Shepard.
