WATCH: Teammate trips Amendola, robs him of TD on 82-yard punt return
After Julian Edelman left Sunday's Patriots-Giants game with a foot injury, Danny Amendola took over as the team's punt returner. And in the third quarter, he came seven yards from scoring a touchdown, only his teammates got in the way ... literally.
Amendola fielded a punt at the 11-yard line, got a few huge blocks, then sprinted down the sideline. With a convoy of blockers surrounding him, Amendola had nothing but open field between him and the end zone, but Duron Harmon inexplicably cut across him and tripped him up.

The return went for 82 yards -- the longest of Amendola's career -- but he was robbed of the touchdown. Fortunately for the Patriots, LeGarrette Blount later punch it in for a TD.
