Will woeful NFC South lead NFL to change playoff format?

There is a good chance the NFC South winner could have six or seven wins this season, but that isn't enough to sway the NFL owners into modifying the playoff format.

Though owners are flirting with the idea of adding an extra playoff team to each conference, FOX Sports 1 NFL insider Mike Garafolo said there isn't much support for changing the division-winner format.

The topic first came up when the Seahawks won the NFC West with a 7-9 record in 2010 and beat the defending Super Bowl champion Saints, who were 11-5. It will likely arise again this season, but to no avail.
